 Post subject: skill bug-Thaumaturgy always creates Staff of Eternal Sleep

i tried many times, nomatter how high of my spell power(from 1 to 7) or spell circle(from 1 to 7) , or what type of the gems, the skill Thaumaturgy always creates the same type of staff.

how does the skill works and can it create some other staff?or it is a bug?

Thaumaturgy is very simple. Gem type and player stats are irrelevant.
Generated staff type and quality are random, BUT laby does store the status of the random number generator into the save game.
This helps to lessen the impact of load/save abuse. We don't want people to load and repeat staff making until they get the one they desire.
Same mechanic applies to other things. You can also load and retry during combat to enforce dodge blow or hit monster ... will not work either.

the problem is, Thaumaturgy always creates the same staff (sleep), but in different quality.
maybe not effected by gem type and player stats or a stored random number now, because we reuse this skill many times, not by save/load game, but by restarted the game with new created heroes. the result is Staff of Eternal Sleep, i mean always.
(i tried to increase the hero's spell power or circle by starting skills)

ah yes,
game uses standard treasure level, which is too low for any wand at game start
Will fix that.

Yes, wands start a level 8. So first 3 or so will be available then.
After level 15 or so all wands can spawn.
