hmm.. This game is such a good memory to me. Having played it for all these years, Now I'd really love to see it gain more popularity on these newer platforms: iOS, android & etc

The current programming language only supports PC with either Linux or Windows. A complete rewrite is planned using different libraries that also support IOS and Android in addition to PC. In addition a rewrite would solve all limitations the current programming language has. It also features networking! (unsure how this would work on Android or IOS)

The drawback however is that the code has to be rewritten completely from scratch and this takes a lot of time.

Hopefully the recoded version will be more portable, which for me would mean an eventual eShop port to 3DS or Wii U (which has announced ios support coming). I'd play a lot more if it wasn't for being tied to my desktop PC, which in a good run pretty much means committing the day to it.
