Please try the game in windowed mode.
We received another error report about that issue from another user.
You can change that in the settings file of the game which you can find in your users homedirectory. Its named: .lostlaby

This is because you use more than 4GB of RAM. This is a compiler bug in PureBasic and nothing we can do about.

Use the 32-bit version.

Sure can do :)

Still a bit disturbing that the 64-bit version is intended to be used by 64-bit users which usually have more than 4 gigs of ram, else there is little need for 64-bit ;)

No offense intended! (Markus knows best ;) )

We totally agree with that.
Its kindof silly that the compiler does not work for 64 Bit machines with more than 4 gig of ram.
unfortunately we cannot change the compiler.

as this error will probaby not be fixed in the near future we already started to rewrite the whole game with another compiler (gnu c++) and another libary (sfml). This way we will solve all current problems at once.
New version will hopefully offer an option to play in a a network as well.
But there is a ton of work before us so do not expect new version to come out too soon.

the 64-bit linux version fucks up as well - but only in fullscreen mode.
Throws a "Memory access error".

Tested on my T61 (Core 2 Duo T7100, 2 GB RAM, GNU/Debian 6.0, Kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64).

Thus I'm happily looking forward to FINALLY having lostlaby available in a proper environment (gcc, as stated by yourself as above) - that should kill all those linux issues as well ;)

Side-note: These problems should be fixed in the latest version (4.9.0) and onward.
