Hi,

I tried to compile laby on linux, and I got a compile error (see below). Any hints on what I am doing wrong?

BTW, do I have to use elice distributed with laby? I have installed elice 1.7 prior to downloading the svn version.

This is with gcc 4.4, ruby 1.8.7. As far as I can tell, I have downloaded all the correct packages as described in the readme file.

Thanks,
Greg
Code:
gsharp@wormwood:~/build/src/lostlaby/pb$ elice laby.pb
/tmp/elQKti4FsQ.cc: In function ‘void init_text()’:
/tmp/elQKti4FsQ.cc:889: error: ‘fontbits’ was not declared in this scope
elice: error invoking g++
elice: g++ command line was:
 g++ -I/usr/include/SDL -lm -lSDL_gfx -lSDL_image -lSDL -lSDL_ttf -lSDL_mixer /tmp/elQKti4FsQ.cc -o laby

OK, looks like this is the problem. Elice 1.7 does not work.

Separate question: what emacs mode do you use for this project?

I use Kate, which does have a Pure Basic mode.
Did not look at other editors so far,
most PB developers probably use the IDE they get when buying it.

I use elice from the bazaar repo on its sf page:
Code:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/elice/

I Just do make && sudo make install and it works. Strange you are receiving an error.

I use kate too for development.
